Location: Mount Maunganui, also known as "The Mount," is situated on a peninsula at the southeastern tip of Tauranga Harbour. It's approximately 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) from Tauranga's city center, making it easily accessible for locals and tourists alike.

Trail Length: The main track to the summit is approximately 3.4 kilometers (2.1 miles) round trip. If you opt to explore the additional tracks around the base, the total distance extends to about 6 kilometers (3.7 miles).

Elevation Gain: Starting at sea level, the trail climbs to a summit of 232 meters (761 feet). The ascent is relatively steep but manageable, offering rewarding views over the Bay of Plenty and surrounding areas.

Difficulty: Consider Mount Maunganui a moderately challenging hike. The track is well-maintained, but the incline can be taxing. Suitable for most fitness levels, it's best to bring water, wear comfortable hiking shoes, and be prepared for some effort to enjoy the stunning summit views.
